Creating Shortcut For Closing and Opening ​Windows Firewall

When you are meeting the network problem, what you can first think of is closing Windows Firewall. But to do this,  you have to do many things and steps complicatedly. Instead, could you make the Shortcut to solve this problem?

The answer is "Yes,". So, today we will show you how to do that.

Please do the following carefully with us

First of all, Right Click on ​Desktop and choose ​New -> Shortcut ​


 When the "Creating Shortcut" window display , please type the command into the "Type the location of the item" box.
To close of open Windows Firewall:
- To close widows firewall, please type in netsh firewall set opmode disable
- To ope windows firewall, please type in netsh firewall set opmode enable


After entering the above command, please click on "Next" and type the name to your shortcut for your convenience.


After you named it, please click on Finish, then the new shortcut icon will be displayed on your desktop, but to make it looks nicely, we will have to change its icon picture.

Right-click on your shortcut you want to change, and choose "Properties", then select "Change Icon".
Please copy the below code to "Look for icons in this file":

%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll

 Then, please choose icon for your shortcut closing and opening windows firewall.


Finally, we will get the Shortcut for Windows Firewall.
